Val Malenco is located in the extreme north of Lombardia, famous for demantoid from asbestos mine

 

Andradite var demantoid
Bright XX, up to 0.4cm, transparent; someone is gemmy. XX are immersed in fibrous asbestos. From a finding in the 80's. The old quarrymen named these type of pieces "asbestos seeds" (in Italian: " semenza d'amianto")

XX up 7cm long, with a lot of magnesite thin XX (around 0.3cm max wide, look at the hexagonal XX in the 3rd photo) from the famous old Italian locality
