Monte Bianco mountain is an area where Italy borders on France and Switzerland; it is famous for smoky quartz and pink fluorite

White pseudo-cubic X in evidence, 1.2cm max edge, on matrix, with another smaller "chabazite" X, some quartz and byssolite

Fluorite
A classic piece from Alpine fissures: group of octahedron with edge up to 0.8 cm. The group is 2.5 x 1.5 wide and stands on the granitic matrix

Fluorite
Another piece of typical Alpine fluorite. Edge max is 0.8cm, the color is pale pink. The XX stand on a carpet of adularia XX (K-feldspar) matrix, on the granitic rock

Quartz
This is an alpine sculpture: it is a typical Gwindel, with the series of quartz XX grown in parallel but with each one rotate a more than the last; each XX is doubly terminated. Quartz is smoked , with inclusion of "chlorite"

Quartz
Group of smoked XX, up to 10cm; the quartz is very transparent and the color is fine. The XX are without damages, nevertheless some faces show the usual ice corrosion (see the 4th photo with the main X and the frozen face)

Well done X of sphalerite, 0,3cm wide, on a matrix covered by compact chalcopyrite partially altered in malachite. Small piece self-found in the '70s along the Morena del Miage
