Specimens from the trachyite quarries, now a restricted area for mineralogist

Calcite
Transparent rhombohedral (tabular) XX, 0.3-0.4cm, green because of celadonite inclusions, intergrown in a cavity of trachytic rock
15x13cm
Zovon, V, Padova. Italy
Specimen n.469

Another photo: entire piece

Celadonite
Green celadonite, in a cavity 3.5x3.5 wide. There are some tridymite XX (second photo) and hematite (?) rounded formations (3rd photo)
10x6cm
Zovon, V, Padova. Italy
Specimen n.784

Another photo: a detail with celadonite
Another photo: a detail with hematite (?)

Tridymite or  quartz paramorph on trydimite
Hexagonal XX on trachytic matrix, up to 0.6cm, reddish for iron oxides coating. The specimen is covered by green coating of celadonite that sometimes cover also the tridymite XX, as you can see in the 2nd photo. Some analysis seem to demonstrate that specimens from this locality are quartz paramorph on trydimite (quartz often replaces tridymite)
7.5x7cm
Zovon, V, Padova. Italy

Specimen n.47

Tridymite
Some white exagonal XX , up to 0.5cm wide, posted in a vug of the rock, as it is possible to see in the 2nd photo
8x6cm
Zovon, V, Padova. Italy

Specimen n.523

Another photo: a wider view

Tridymite
Perfect exagonal X , 0.5cm wide, in a cavity filled with other minerals (following) and coated by yellowish-red iron oxides
12x12cm
Zovon, V, Padova. Italy

Specimen n.808

Photo of the entire piece  previously quoted as tridymite n.808
12x12cm
Zovon, V, Padova. Italy

Specimen n.808

Another photo: a detail with molybdenite
Another photo: a detail with siderite
Another photo: a detail with goethite

Siderite (?)
Elongated formation, up to 0.5 cm, in a cavity 1.9x1.4 wide, with small XX (under 0,1 cm) of probably the same mineral. Not analyzed, but similar to pieces analyzed from other collectors: small XX, grown in columnar formation, Fe-rich
9x6.5cm
Zovon, V, Padova. Italy

Specimen n.785

Another photo: view on entire cavity
